Sustainability

Our Evidence-based approach and global network are helping us build a more sustainable business

At NEP, we understand that a thoughtful and evidence-based Environmental, Social, and Governance (“ESG”) strategy is fundamental to building a sustainable business for the long term.

By leveraging our network of ESG experts and champions from across our global organization, and basing our strategy on genuine evidence, we are driving real, measurable progress that will benefit our clients, our employees and our planet.

We are committed to minimizing our environmental impact, meeting the highest standards of environmental compliance and continuously improving our initiatives globally. Through bold and transparent action, we are striving to use our resources responsibly and make a genuine difference in the most impactful ESG areas.

pillars of Our strategy

environment

  • Evidence-based Actions - We are gathering comprehensive, assurance-grade ESG data globally, including carbon emissions tracking, to guide us.
  • Ambitious Targets - Using real data, we are setting bold goals aimed at reducing environmental impacts and enhancing sustainability across our operations.
  • Comprehensive Assessments - Our Double Materiality Assessment is enabling us to identify areas where we can make the greatest positive impact for the planet.

social

  • Culture of Learning - An expansive library of on-demand development courses, a global mentoring program, internal career opportunities and apprenticeships are some of the ways we are putting our people first.
  • A Diverse & Inclusive Workforce - We are striving to employ a workforce that reflects the world we operate in – and that lives by NEP's Inclusion & Diversity Principles.
  • Connecting and Empowering Employees - By sharing stories from across our teams our employees can "get to know each other" and celebrate their accomplishments.

governance

  • Highest Standards of Integrity - Our Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, along with other NEP policies, ensures compliance with international laws, including anti-corruption, data privacy and anti-discrimination policies.
  • Transparent Reporting - In 2025 we launched our first of what will become NEP's annual Sustainability & ESG Report to communicate our progress and roadmap.
  • Employee Training & Reviews - NEP requires all employees to complete training on bribery, competition laws and compliance. We also require annual health checks at the board level.
