For this year’s NCAA Men’s Regionals at NRG Stadium in Houston, NEP’s Screenworks supplied LD Systems with a massive 16-sided center-hung LED display spanning the court and creating an excellent view of the action along with presentation of game score, stats and other information. NRG Stadium will be host to the NCAA Men’s Final Four in 2016, and last hosted the Final Four in 2011. Screenworks & LD Systems raised the bar with this massive display using Screenworks’ X7B LED display technology, a black-faced 7.5mm LED product, which provides more resolution, richer colors and higher contrast.
“We were thrilled with Screenworks’ X7B at this year’s event,” said LD Systems President, Rob McKinley. “The display looked amazing and really helped to make the action on the court larger than life for fans watching in stadium.”
“Our goal is always to use the latest technologies to create solutions for our clients that will enhance the on-site experience for fans. Our Screenworks X7B LED is a great example. The fantastic picture-quality, with higher resolution and richer, deeper colors is complimented by its light weight, ease of use and great portability,” said Danny O’Bryen, president of NEP’s Screenworks. “Overall, it is an outstanding product for just about any venue or event – from sports to concert tours.”
Screenworks will be utilizing their X7B LED, as well as their other cutting-edge LED on a host of projects this spring, including Golf, Tennis, Auto Racing, Concert Tours and Festivals. For more information, visit www.screenworksnep.com.
