Pete Emminger, NEP Group’s Global Chief Technology Officer, will be featured at the upcoming SVG Europe Sport Production & Technology Summit on Oct. 28.
Emminger will participate in a live panel conversation with SVG Europe’s Will Strauss and other industry technology leaders, taking place at the iconic Stamford Bridge, home of Chelsea FC in West London.
During the “Sports OB Leaders Briefing” – which begins at 4:30 p.m. BST and will be live streamed from SVG Europe - Emminger will discuss his role at NEP Group, the evolution of live production, and his vision for production technology enabling content creation around the world, among other topics.
As Global CTO, Emminger oversees NEP Group’s technology strategy, technical design and build of NEP products and network operations. His team is also responsible for R&D and prototyping, supporting NEP’s ongoing commitment to innovation.
Prior to joining NEP in May, Emminger was at Blizzard Entertainment where he built and led the Global Broadcast group, developing key internal capabilities at Blizzard in support of BlizzCon, Overwatch League and Call of Duty League. Prior to Blizzard, Emminger owned a production company for 13 years where he had a key role in a wide array of live production projects.
The 2021 Sports Production & Technology Summit features a packed schedule of conference sessions, networking and exhibits. The day will also see the return of the 2021 SVG Europe Sports TV Awards as a physical event. The awards will recognize and honor the outstanding companies, teams and individuals that pushed sports broadcasting and production forward within the 2020 calendar year.
