NEP Group, the world’s leading technical production partner for premier content producers of live sports and entertainment, is proud to announce the addition of industry veteran Larry Tiscornia to its VISTA Worldlink division. VISTA provides end-to-end workflows, transmission, connectivity and packaged traditional and centralized broadcast production solutions to customers in sports, entertainment, news, corporate and a range of other industries, covering thousands of events in North America each year as well as Europe and Latin America.
As Director of Business Development, Mr. Tiscornia will guide VISTA’s growth and advancement, aligning with NEP’s strategic goal of becoming the worldwide leader in Centralized (Remote) Production. Tiscornia brings a wealth of broadcast production, operations and professional sports league experience, having spent 21 years as Major League Soccer (MLS) and Soccer United Marketing’s Vice President of Broadcasting.
“We are excited to welcome Larry to the NEP family to support VISTA’s growth and to help NEP realize our goals,” said Howie Rosenthal, President, U.S. NEP Broadcast Services. “Larry has extensive experience developing innovative workflows that deliver high-quality production at large volumes cost-effectively. NEP has been doing this in other parts of the world and we will continue to expand our offerings in North America with new facilities coming online this fall.”
During his distinguished tenure with MLS, Tiscornia was responsible for the league’s broadcast infrastructure, guiding MLS’ remote broadcast productions during a time of tremendous growth for the sport of soccer in North America. With MLS and Soccer United Marketing, Tiscornia oversaw 1,000+ yearly high-level broadcast productions, meeting the demands of a constantly growing audience.
Also under his leadership, the league installed a league-wide data and video fiber network that connected all MLS venues with the Commissioner’s office in New York City and their production facility in South Florida; creation and implementation of Video Assistant Referee (VAR) where MLS was at the forefront of this initiative that has become standard in the sport; oversaw the digitization of the league’s video archives, and developed and implemented broadcast standards for all current and future MLS venues.
“I have had the privilege of working with Larry for the past 15 years,” said Josh Liemer, President of NEP Group’s VISTA Worldlink. “Being based in the New York Tri-State area, Larry brings an insider’s experience that builds on his already decades-long relationships with rights holders here in the U.S. and globally. Together, Larry and I will fortify NEP’s position as a global force in centralized production.”
Mr. Tiscornia started in the sports broadcasting industry at ABC Sports and USA Network.
NEP Group announced it acquired VISTA Worldlink on March 2, 2021.
